Based around the village of Ingleton, North Yorkshire, the Batty Moss Ceilidh Band takes
it's name from the Batty Moss Viaduct, more commonly known as the Ribblehead Viaduct on the
famous Settle - Carlisle line, seen in the background in the picture below.
We are a group of experienced musicians and dancers who play regularly in pub sessions around
the area and have got together to form a ceilidh band available for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries,
etc. The line up varies slightly depending on availability but could include button accordion, concertina,
melodeon, mandolin, recorders, guitar, banjo, whistles, fretless bass, and bodhran.
We have our own caller who will guide you through the dances so no experience is necessary.
Come along ready to enjoy yourselves, get up and dance.
